The grease is based on high-quality, hydrotreated naphthenic base oils, which account for approximately 75–95% of its composition. A carefully selected additive package, including zinc compounds, enhances its anti-wear and Extreme Pressure (EP) properties, helping to reduce friction and protect lubricated surfaces against premature wear.

Thanks to its excellent water resistance and high thermal stability, Metal Guard EP-2 is suitable for components exposed to moisture, high loads and elevated operating temperatures.
