The Coolerworx Classic Pro Short Shifter for MINI Cooper F55, F56 and F57 is a completely redesigned shifting system developed specifically for F-series MINI models. Created after an extensive development process, it combines a more precise, mechanical shifting feel with straightforward installation and full compatibility with the factory center console.
One of the main challenges in MINI F-series models is the limited space around the center console. Earlier short shifter solutions could require trimming interior components or sacrificing the functionality of the rotary collar control. The new Classic Pro design addresses this with a plug-and-play installation that fits beneath the original console without cutting or trimming.
The factory cupholders remain usable and the rotary collar control retains its full functionality. This allows the driver to benefit from a more performance-oriented shifting system without compromising the original usability of the interior.
The mechanism features a completely new shifter frame, handle and rocker arm. Their geometry was developed to provide a more direct and precise mechanical response, while the extended handle positions the gear knob conveniently for faster and more controlled gear changes.
A revised self-centering spring with a softer characteristic improves the balance of the mechanism and helps the lever return smoothly and quickly to its central position. This makes gear alignment more predictable during everyday driving as well as more demanding road or track use.
The installation is fully reversible. The short shifter can be removed and the vehicle restored to its original factory configuration without leaving permanently cut or modified interior plastics.
The Classic Pro system is designed, prototyped and manufactured entirely in-house by Coolerworx in Lithuania, allowing close control over development, machining, assembly and final quality.
