BILT-HAMBER Phat-Neut 1L – pH Neutral Multi-Purpose Rinseless Wash & Cleaner

BILT-HAMBER Phat-Neut® is a highly concentrated, multi-purpose pH-neutral cleaner and rinseless wash designed to remove demanding road contamination without the use of harsh alkaline chemicals, solvents or aggressive cleaning agents.

Featuring Bilt-Hamber’s advanced Lift-Mode® technology, Phat-Neut® reduces surface tension to wet, lift, surround and isolate dirt from the surface. It effectively tackles mineral-rich road film, brake dust, insects, bird droppings and general exterior contamination while remaining gentle on protected surfaces.

Phat-Neut® can be used as a rinseless wash, waterless cleaner, pre-wash, pressure-washer cleaner, wheel cleaner, clay lubricant and spot cleaner, making it an exceptionally versatile solution for vehicle detailing.

The product does not leave behind a protective layer and does not interfere with existing or future surface protection. It is safe for use alongside waxes, ceramic coatings and other LSP (Last Step Product) protection.

Two Cleaning Modes – Lift-Mode® and Dry-On®

Lift-Mode®

Lift-Mode® is the standard wet application method. Phat-Neut® wets, lifts, encapsulates and isolates contamination from the surface, helping dirt to be removed safely during rinsing or bucket washing.

Use Lift-Mode® for normal washing, rinseless washing and lighter contamination where the product should remain wet during use.

Dry-On®

Dry-On® is an optional intensive cleaning method developed specifically for heavily contaminated exterior surfaces.

Unlike conventional cleaners, Phat-Neut® can be allowed to visibly dry within a thick, continuous layer of dirt. This extends the product’s contact time and allows it to penetrate deeper into heavy contamination, helping to loosen and release road grime before rinsing.

Dry-On® should only be used on heavily soiled exterior surfaces with a sufficiently thick and absorbent layer of contamination. Always perform a suitability test before use.

Directions for Use

Always shake the bottle for 10 seconds before use. After dilution, mix or shake vigorously for at least 20 seconds.

1. Pre-Wash – Heavy Contamination

Dilution: 2–4% (1:50 to 1:25)

Apply using a pump sprayer, hand sprayer or pressure washer.

Apply to a dry layer of contamination and leave for at least 5 minutes.

Phat-Neut® is not designed to produce large amounts of foam.

Optional Dry-On® Mode

For heavily contaminated exterior surfaces only, the product may be allowed to dry visibly within the dirt layer to increase cleaning performance.

After drying, rinse immediately. Pressure rinsing is preferred.

Before using Dry-On®, test a small amount of 2–4% solution on the dirt layer. If the drop spreads and absorbs into the contamination, Dry-On® may be suitable.

Do not use Dry-On® on clean, lightly soiled, unevenly contaminated, recently rinsed or interior surfaces.

Do not use Dry-On® when the panel temperature exceeds 50°C or when the surface feels excessively hot.

2. Rinseless Wash – Medium Contamination

Pre-spray dry painted panels with a well-mixed 2% solution (1:50) to soften, lift and encapsulate contamination while increasing lubrication.

For the bucket stage:

• Fill the bucket with warm tap water.
• Add 0.4% Phat-Neut® (1:250) or 0.5% (1:200) for additional lubrication.
• Mix vigorously for at least 20 seconds.
• Wash one panel at a time using a microfiber wash mitt or suitable sponge.
• Rinse the wash media frequently, preferably in a separate bucket.
• Dry using a clean microfiber towel, turning it regularly.

If an area dries before wiping, re-wet it before continuing.

Do not use Dry-On® during rinseless washing.

3. Light Cleaning of Hard Surfaces

Dilution: 0.5% (1:200) with distilled water.

Mix thoroughly before use.

Apply using a spray bottle or a lightly dampened microfiber cloth. Wipe gently with a soft microfiber towel, turning it frequently.

If necessary, finish with a second dry microfiber towel.

If Phat-Neut® dries on the surface, wipe it again with a damp microfiber cloth and then dry.

4. Other Applications

• Wheel cleaning: 10% (1:10)
• Insect and bird dropping removal: 4% (1:25)
• Clay bar lubricant: 1–2%
• General light cleaning of hard surfaces: 0.5%

For wheels and heavily contaminated areas, apply generously and use Dry-On® only where the contamination layer is suitable, then preferably rinse with a pressure washer.

Important Information

• Always test the product on an inconspicuous area before use, particularly when using Dry-On®.
• Do not use Dry-On® on interior surfaces, leather, synthetic leather, screens, delicate trim or soft furnishings.
• Do not exceed a panel temperature of 50°C when using Dry-On®.
• Deionised water can help reduce mineral deposits when cleaning surfaces.
• Warm tap water is recommended for rinseless and bucket washing.
• Working solutions between 0.4% and 1% should preferably be used promptly.
• More concentrated diluted solutions should not be stored for longer than 2 weeks.
• Mix thoroughly again before reusing a prepared solution.
