High Flow Intake Forge Motorsport FMINDK14.R for Volkswagen Golf 7 1.4 TSi Red

This is the second product launched in the new Forge "Hi-Flow" line. With its unique and elegant design, expect a carbon fiber shell that will enhance your engine and provide more power and torque. The kit includes a Forge machined aluminum connector with a tolerance of less than 0.1mm. The hose is available in red, blue or black and comes with all the necessary hose clamps.
Following their success with the carbon fiber intake for the Golf MK7, Forge wanted to expand their "Hi-Flow" line and offer an affordable product for the 1.4 TSI. A thorough analysis of existing products, exchanges with tuners and MK7 owners led them to produce a carbon fiber intake and airbox cover rather than a complete intake kit. From this idea they started the development phase. The prototype was created with industrial foam and aluminum.
With these components, they were able to conduct their tests and identify the best way to integrate the air intake, connect it to the airbox and install it on the vehicle. Once the prototype was validated, Forge engineers used the latest 3D technology to create the intake cover. During the design process they conducted airflow simulations to ensure that the product had the best possible airflow. The carbon fiber prototype was then produced and installed on the vehicle.
The design is one of the best on the market. To make sure their product was perfect, they hired the carbon fiber gurus, who produce the aerodynamic elements of F1 cars and airplane wings! The cutting was then CNC'd into aluminum to make sure the finished product was flawless. This allowed them to create a perfect airbox with Autoclave processes and 2x2 carbon fiber twill.

After so much attention to the carbon fiber and silicone manufacturing, Forge tackled the filtration issue. Once the air intake and cover designs were completed they moved on to the hose and filter. There's no point in making a system that's so efficient if you're going to restrict it with a standard hose and filter.

Therefore, for the filter they called on their master filter partner, Pipercross. With 25 years of experience in production and race vehicles, they recommended a multi-layer foam filter. The large filter they provided passes 30% more air than the stock filter and fits perfectly into the hull. The combination of the two is perfect. Forge Motorsport's high flow intake hose is coupled to the carbon airbox to eliminate the significant restrictions of the stock plastic tube, including sound, and replaces it with this multi-layered silicone hose that improves airflow, and intake system performance.
This equates to a gain of up to 10 hp, which is a remarkable gain for such an easy-to-fit component. The Forge Motorsport silicone hose in this kit was developed by incorporating an inner layer of reinforced silicone called Fluorosilicone.
