Der MAP-Sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) ist eine Schlüsselkomponente von Motormanagementsystemen. Seine Aufgabe ist es, den Druck im Ansaugkrümmer zu messen, so dass das Steuergerät (ECU) die Motorlast genau bestimmen und Betriebsparameter wie Kraftstoffdosierung und Zündverstellung entsprechend anpassen kann.

Im Gegensatz zu Systemen auf Basis von Durchflussmessern (MAF) werden MAP-Sensoren häufig in sportlichen und getunten Fahrzeugen eingesetzt, bei denen es auf schnelles Ansprechen und zuverlässige Messung ankommt.
