The MFD28 / MFD32 / MFD32S display is able to take control over the 4motion Haldex (Volkswagen/Audi Haldex Gen1 PQ34 platform). The communication takes place via Can Bus, therefore no modifications on the Haldex itself needed. This feature is activated through a license within the display.

Setup:
Display, engine ECU and Haldex form a Can Bus. The Can Bus termination (120ohm resisitor) is active in display and ECU.
Additionally, the Haldex will be connected to the brake light and handbrake as well as the voltage power of the car.

Installation:
For the acquisition of the license the serial number of the display is needed. This can be found within the menu in the option "License". The license will also be entered here. You need to take care of mistypes otherwise the license will not be activated. At the end hit the "OK" button and the installation will be confirmed.
The cabling is up to the customer. The Haldex needs to be connected as described in the manual which will be send together with the license.

Operation:
After the license activation you can choose an additional widget called „Haldex". This shows the Haldex status (colored) and the lock percentage. You can activate and deactivate the Haldex with a touch on the widget.Furthermore, the Haldex can be locked and unlocked with a custom sensor setup (e.g. lock with MAP sensor and unlock with speed).
